Royal Liverpool University Hospital

Endoscopy equipment procurement and area reconfiguration - £0.8M

Replacement of existing non-compliant WER’s with pass through machines. Area reconfigured to meet operational and JAG requirements which included clean/ dirty demarcation, endoscope pre-wash areas and drying cabinets, storage facilities, etc.

Management of stakeholders as part of the CDM regulations including Decontamination Manager, Authorising Engineer, Trust Microbiologist, Procurement Manager, Department Manager, CDM Co-Coordinator, Architect, M&E Consultants, Principle and Sub Contractors, etc.

Complex planning and safe systems of work applied with support of users to successfully manage all works whilst maintaining and Endoscopy service.

Leicester Royal Infirmary

Multi-Storey Car Park Concrete Repairs - £1.2M

6-Facet physical condition survey identified the building as category C and required extensive structural and concrete repairs and to increase external wall barrier heights to meet current legislation.

Managed the design, tender and construction phases on behalf of the Trust.

CDM project which required extensive planning and coordination as works were undertaken under phased control, one level at any time to facilitate the continued use of the car park.

Expenditure provided the Trust with a solution for a parking facility that would have required an outsourced provision as the City Centre Hospital Estate is land locked.

Leicester Royal Infirmary

Ward Block Window Replacement - £1.8M

6-Facet physical condition survey identified the window assets as category C and required replacement to all windows to the first floor and above in the 7-storey ward block building. It was identified two blocks required the window replacements, this being phase 1 of the works.

CDM project and managed the design test to meet the technical performance requirements, select the preferred manufacturer for inclusion in the tender specification, prepare the design drawings and specification, tender through OJEU, through to construction. Agreed high level access proposal through consultation and internal access ensuring continued patient service.

Extensive coordination with Trust stakeholders and complex planning of phased works.
